The eastern side of the island experiences heavy rainfall, while the western side is noticeably drier. Fiji receives nearly the same amount of visitors (about 630,000 annually) as the rest of the South Pacific combined but it still feels wild and exotic. Viti Levu, the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands have the best beaches and most resorts.
The Republic of Vanuatu is an island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean, around 1,750 km east of Australia – it’s a hidden gem for everyone who wants to experience unspoiled paradise. Hike to the summit of the world’s most accessible active volcano – Yasur, go wreck diving at Espiritu Santo Island, haul a catch with deep-sea fishing and explore endless lagoons, beaches and offshore islands around Port Vila!
