Iceland is not just a destination. It is an adventure. This amazing country is filled with spectacular wonders of nature, unique cuisine, inspiring art and culture. There are no words to describe this amazingly beautiful island. Go and see for yourself – it will literally take your breath away!
Iceland is a perfect destination for people looking for the unexpected. It is a place where dark winters are offset by the midnight sun. Take advantage of round-the-clock daylight during the summer months or watch the Northern Lights in the winter time.
Go and experience the beauty of mysterious, rugged landscape and pure nature. Travel along the shore noting the numerous glacial rivers, canyons and famous waterfalls (like Dettifoss, Gullfoss, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Godafoss, Glymur and Svartifoss).
Witness the marvels of subarctic fauna in their natural habitat. A majority of the world’s puffin population resides in Iceland during mating season. Top spots to watch these cute little birds are Dyrhólaey, Ingólfshöfði, Borgarfjörður eystri, Látrabjarg cliff, Heimaey island, Papey island and Grímsey island.

Where to stay:
Accommodation in Iceland is quite expensive and many visitors choose to stay in youth hostels, guesthouses or campings. We recommend you book in advance during the traveling high season.
We encourage you to stay in iStay Cottages with excellent reviews for €60 per night. Boasting a sauna, these cozy cottages are located in Sandgerdi, just a short car ride from Keflavik and Grindavik. There are 4 lodgings at the vacation rental, each offering all the essentials to ensure a comfortable stay. Keflavik International Airport is less than a 15-minute drive from Istay Cottages.
You can also book homes from local hosts at Airbnb to experience a place like you live there.
What to do:
For those who love hiking, skiing, fishing, horse riding, cycling and rafting, Iceland is a haven. Explore the ice caves in Icelandic glacier or lava tubes, bath in geothermal pools, walk up to the crater or even get inside a volcano’s great magma chamber!
