We had already informed you about exciting developments planned by Ryanair. The Irish airline has finally started selling self-connecting flights on its network through Rome Fiumicino airport!

The low-cost carrier has already launched connecting flights on its website. The tickets have priority boarding included. Initially the new service will be only offered via Rome Fiumicino airport but connecting flights will be available at other airports in near future.

What is more, Ryanair is considering to offer connections to other airlines. So far it is discussing the possibility with Aer Lingus, Norwegian and other potential partners with a view to launching connections with third party airlines in late summer. From late 2017, the airline is going to sell partner airlines’ flights for both long and short haul routes.

We’re going to have feeder traffic so customers can book their ongoing non-Ryanair flights via our website. We’re partnering with other airlines on an individual basis. We want to do this on a low-cost model, said Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer.
