National parks
If you want to enjoy Thailand without visiting the beach, head to one of its inland national parks. You’ll have the chance to discover the pristine landscapes. Visit Erawan National Park and enjoy its natural beauty and unspoiled wilderness. Climb up the Erawan Falls, explore the caves and bathe in the natural pools. Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is notable for its limestone hills, 300 species of birds and the Phaya Nakhon Cave, that has a Buddhist temple inside.
Located near the Burmese border, Kaeng Krachan National Park and Kui Buri National Park are recognized as being the best destinations in Thailand for wildlife viewing. Khao Yai National Park, in the Sankamphaeng Mountain Range (central Thailand), is appealing to hikers, mountain climbers and wildlife lovers. The park is known for its grasslands, tropical forests and waterfalls, the largest being Haew Narok. Some of the animals you’re likely to see here include elephants, gibbons, monkeys and leopards. It's even possible to spot a tiger!

Sri Lanka has seduced travelers for centuries. The island is filled with romantic landscapes, timeless ruins, lush forests and gushing waterfalls. Welcoming people and flavorful food will make your visit very special. Take a train ride along the coast to see the golden beaches washed with aquamarine waves, visit the Lion Rock (Sigiriya), rejuvenate with Ayurvedhic medicine and watch the harvest of Ceylon tea leaves.
Sigiriya (Lion Rock) and Adam’s Peak
Climb the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya, with the magnificent fresco paintings and elaborate water gardens. Located in south-west Sri Lanka, the Lion Rock is home to the fascinating remains of one of the island’s former capitals. The World Heritage-listed Sinharaja Forest Reserve is the country's last undisturbed area of primary tropical rainforest.
Adam’s Peak (2,243 m) is a popular pilgrimage site that offers beautiful views. The conical mountain located in central Sri Lanka is well known for the Sri Pada, a rock formation near the summit, which is said to be the Buddha’s own footprint.
