Try downhill skiing in South Africa's only ski resort. Located on Ben Macdhui, Tiffendell Ski Resort in Eastern Cape Highlands is part of the Drakensberg Mountains. It offers a relatively short season during the Southern Hemisphere winter, running between June and August. Pistes aren't long - about one kilometre in total - perfect for beginner skiers. There's real snow and when there isn't enough falling from the sky, there is snow-making equipment.
