Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts)
This stunning building, boasting immense murals by world-famous Mexican artists, is considered the cultural centre of Mexico City. It is home to famed El Hombre en el Cruce de Caminos (Man at the Crossroads) by Diego Rivera, originally commissioned for New York’s Rockefeller Center.
The art nouveau and art deco-style palace hosts cultural events in the national theatre. On the top floor, you'll find the National Museum of Architecture, which showcases the work and lives of famous Mexican architects. Admission is free on Sundays.
