While in Cancun, you should visit the Playa Delfines, located in the Zona Hotelera. As the last beach along the boulevard, it is rarely crowded. Isla Mujeres is an island off the coast with beautiful Playa Norte.

In Tulum you can relax in the white-sand Playa Paraiso. Head south to visit Maya Chan Beach in Mahahual and swim in Laguna de Bacalar (Lake of Seven Colours). This 60-kilometre lagoon with crystal clear waters and white sandy bottom is often called a lake, but is actually a series of waterways eventually leading to the ocean.
