Kazakhstan is extremely diversified destination! You’ll find there boundless prairies, picturesque mountains, spectacular valleys of Tian Shan as well as modern cities. As the country has abolished visas for numerous countries, it’s high time to visit it!

What to do:
In Kazakhstan, you can get recreation opportunities throughout the year. To make your vacation more active, consider visiting the mountains, glaciers, large rocky canyons, pristine mountain lakes and amazing rivers. The country offers great trails for hiking and cycling. Enjoy the pristine mountain scenery of Tian Shan or head outdoors to the Zaili Alatau. Make a horseback ride to crystal clear lakes. You will have a chance to spot Bactrian camels. Expert mountaineers can climb one of the snow-capped summits.

If you are an enthusiast of water sports, canoeing and rafting can be arranged easily through the local agents. Ili River is perfect for white water sports.

Kazakhstan also has the natural facilities for winter sports, like skiing. Visit Shymbulakski resort, located in the upper part of the Medeu Valley in the Zaiilisky Alatau mountain range. If you like hockey, there are several ice skating rinks.

History lovers should take a trip to the Great Silk Road, the ancient trade route connecting the East and West from China to the Mediterranean Sea. The dales and valleys of the Tien-Shan provided shelter for the merchants, workers, monks and soldiers who journeyed the 6,500 kilometres between east and west. You can also visit the town of Taraz and enjoy the great masterpieces of antique architecture, listed by UNESCO.
