Mallorca and Menorca have much more to offer than just sun, sea and sand. With rich history spanning thousands of years, these small islands in the Balearics truly deserve their big reputation.
If you don't mind driving up mountain roads, head to Cap de Formentor. This wild peninsula is located in the northernmost point of Mallorca. The spectacular steep cliff, strangely shaped by the wind and the water, has dramatic scenery with many excellent photo opportunities. There are numerous viewpoints along the road. Go there at sunset and enjoy the great view from the lighthouse over the cliffs and sea.
