Great place for a trip of a lifetime!
There are plenty of reasons to visit the Philippines! This amazing destination offers pretty much everything you need: the world class beaches, awesome conditions for water sports, stunning mountains and volcanoes, along with caves and rice terraces to explore.
With more than 7000 islands, there’s an endless list of options from which to choose. Go island hopping or take a local jeepney – the old military truck converted into public transport – and explore the inland treasures. The best time to visit the Philippines is during the dry season, from November to April.

What to do:
The Philippines offer excellent swimming conditions and numerous opportunities for water sports, such as scuba diving, snorkelling, kite surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and surfing. Malapascua Island, Apo reef and Monad Shoal are famous diving spots. For an unforgettable diving experience, head to Coron, to see the sunken Japanese ship wrecks surrounded by corals and schools of colourful fish. If you’re keen on jumping off cliffs, Ariel’s Point, located on the north-western tip of Panay Island (close to Boracay) has jumps ranging from 3m to the insane 15m high!
Tropical forests and rice terraces are perfect for trekking, just remember to always have a lot of water and protect yourself against excessive sun exposure. In the Philippines there are also nice cycling areas, though the quality of road surface can be very different from place to place.
Where to stay:
For example in Manila we encourage you to stay in BEST WESTERN Hotel La Corona, a well rated hotel with nightly rate €35/£29/$39/AU$51 per superior double room inclusive of breakfast.
