Ukraine International Airlines are offering cheap first minute flights from Kyiv to Dubai or vice versa from only €79/$86 for a roundtrip!
With iconic skylines, artificial islands, historic mosques, gigantic shopping complexes and world famous beach resorts, Dubai offers plenty of things to do. Drive along Dubai Creek or enjoy shopping in the largest shopping mall in the world or at the traditional open-air market. Rent a dune buggy or ride a camel and head for an epic desert adventure!
On the edges of Abu Dhabi, beside Abu Dhabi International Airport, there is a city designed to be a hub for cleantech companies. Masdar City relies on solar energy and other renewable energy sources. The original plan was to complete the world’s first planned sustainable city by 2016. But due to the global financial crisis of the late 2000s, it was never finished.
As of today, Masdar is like a ghost city - it is currently meeting less than 1% occupancy. Only 5% of the original project has been fully constructed. Current estimates have this futuristic city being completed by 2030. The planning directors decided to abandon the zero carbon idea, and are currently building the rest of Masdar City to be 50% carbon-neutral.
