Doha Hamad International Airport named the World’s Best Airport in the Skytrax 2021 World Airport Awards!

After claiming the top spot since 2013, Singapore Changi was finally dethroned in the World Airport Awards. The new king? Doha Hamad International Airport.

Hamad International Airport was also considered Best Airport in the Middle East, the World’s Best Airport in the 25 to 35 million passenger category and won the award for the Best Airport Staff in the Middle East.

Previously considered the World’s best, Singapore Changi dropped two spots and its now number 3. However it was considered the World’s Best Airport in the 10 to 15 million Passenger category, and also won the awards for the World’s Best Airport Staff and the Best Airport Staff in Asia.

Tokyo Haneda managed to maintain last year’s second place and was awarded the for the Best Airport Cleanliness and Best Airport PRM / Accessible Facilities.

Istanbul International Airport was considered the World’s Most Improved Airport, jumping from number 102 to 17 in the list.

Munich Airport continued in the top of the European category, while London’s Heathrow as named as the World’s Best Airport in the 20 to 25 million Passenger category, and the Best Airport in Western Europe.

  • Best Airport in China: Guangzhou
