Book Air Canada flights from London, UK to Nassau, the Bahamas from only £484 for a round trip!
The Bahamas are known for calm, turquoise waters and stunning sandy beaches. With over 2,000 breathtaking islands and cays, it’s a perfect holiday destination to kick back for a few days.
Shipwrecks
Haunting and beautiful underwater wrecks serve as a playground for scuba divers. Explore the skeleton of the Willaurie or the Sea Viking. You can also snorkel and dive among the remains of SS Sapona, a concrete steamer submerged near Bimini. The Hesperus (Grand Bahama Bank) and the Sugar Wreck (Grand Bahama Island) are so shallow they can be easily explored by snorkelers.
In the North Bimini you can discover the rusty remains of the Gallant Lady. The freighter sailed out of Belize City and was smashed up on shore during Hurricane Mitch in 1997. The shipwreck, destroyed by the waves, rests on the rocks in the southern shore of the island.
