Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine features stunning terrain and breathtaking scenery. This national park in the extreme south region of Patagonia encompasses mountains, glaciers, countless lakes and rivers. The centrepiece of the park is the spectacular granite Paine Massif, shaped by the glacial ice. The highest peak of the group is Paine Grande (2,884 m / 9,462 ft).
Another highlight of this iconic region is the San Rafael Glacier that calves into the Laguna San Rafael. This tidewater glacier nearest the equator is accessible only by plane or by boat passing through the narrow channels of the isolated Aisén region. In northern Patagonia you should visit Lago Llanquihue that offers a fantastic view of the Osorno volcano from across the lake.
