Sipi, a beautiful little town on top of a hill, offers fantastic views on and hikes to waterfalls. Admire a series of three prominent falls on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border. Sipi offers a number of outdoor activities, like abseiling along the side of the main 100m Sipi Waterfall and climbing on 14 bolted sport routes with a range of difficulty. It is also the starting point for many hikes up Mount Elgon. The area is particularly famous for locally grown Bugisu Arabica coffee that only grows at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,900 metres.
