Boa Vista – The Cosy Island
Boa Vista means “beautiful view”. The landscape here is characterised by deserts and petrified forests. The easternmost and third-largest island of Cape Verde is a flat bleached land. Sharp white dunes of Boa Vista merge with indigo-blue seas. The Deserto de Viana is a sand desert in the north-western part of the island, east of the towns Rabil and Sal Rei.
