Iran has launched an electronic system through which nationals from 180 counties around the world can obtain a tourist visa. The much-awaited online facility enables visitors to apply for an Iranian visa within few minutes.
Iran has introduced an official e-visa web portal, making it easier for travellers to obtain a visa prior to arrival. This decision was taken after taking into consideration the increasing number of foreign tourists arriving in Iran in the past years.
Citizens from all countries, except for those from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Jordan, Somalia, Colombia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and India, are eligible to use the service.
