Zakynthos & Kefalonia
Surrounded by the clear blue water of the the Ionian Sea, Zakynthos is one of the sunniest islands in the Mediterranean. This unique destination, located off the west coast of Greece, is famous for Navagio Beach, also know as the Shipwreck Beach. The one of most photographed beaches in the world is accessible only by sea. Waters around Navagio often have intense blue colour because of the numerous sulphurous caves around the beach. The landscape diversity of Zakynthos has resulted in different types of beaches: there are sandy beaches in secluded coves on the island’s southeastern part, as well as rugged cliffs in the western part of the island.
The green island of Kefalonia was home to Odysseus, the legendary king hailed in The Odyssey. Explore the enchanting Drogarati Caves, relax at one of the beach coves or sail to Ithaca on a glass-bottomed boat and enjoy the sapphire water. Marvel at the ancient artifacts inside the Archaeological Museum of Argostoli, Cephalonia’s main town.
