Boosted Capacity and New Routes

The addition of the third aircraft will enable Wizz Air to offer more than 198,000 new seats from Timisoara next winter, a 62% increase compared to the previous winter season. The base will operate 20 routes to nine countries, with frequency increases on three existing routes. This expansion is designed to meet the rising demand for budget-friendly travel and to enhance connectivity for passengers in western Romania.

Starting October 2025, Wizz Air will launch five new routes from Timisoara, connecting passengers to Larnaca, Nuremberg, Basel, Frankfurt Hahn, and Naples. Additionally, the frequency of flights to Bari, Baden-Baden, and Dortmund will increase, with all three routes being served four times per week from October 2025.

Wizz Air’s expansion is not limited to Timisoara. The airline will also introduce a new route from Brasov to Nuremberg, operating every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting October 2025. This follows the recent launch of flights from Brasov to Naples. In the upcoming winter season, Wizz Air will provide direct connections from Brasov Ghimbav International Airport to five destinations: Budapest, Dortmund, London Luton, Naples, and Nuremberg.
