Qatar Airways named the World’s Best Airline in the Skytrax 2017 World Airline Awards!
The world’s top airlines are honoured at the Skytrax 2017 World Airline Awards
At the World Airline Awards held at Paris Air Show on 20th June 2017, Skytrax announced the world’s Top 100 Airlines in 2017, as voted by airline customers around the world. The awards, described as “the Oscars of the aviation industry”, are most coveted Quality accolades for the world airline industry, and a global benchmark of airline excellence.
The 2017 World Airline Awards were held on 20th June, at Paris Air Show. This is the fourth time that Skytrax have staged the Awards event at Paris Air Show, and the Air Show organisers (GIFAS) have provided the fabulous Air and Space Museum as the venue. Paris Air Show is the world’s best-known and most prestigious aerospace event, and Skytrax are honoured to welcome the bosses from airlines around the world to the Award ceremony. The 2017 Awards event is expected to be largest Skytrax Awards event ever.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr Akbar Al Baker, said: “It is a very proud moment for Qatar Airways to be named the World’s Best Business Class, the Best Business Class Airline Lounge and Best Airline Staff in the Middle East by the prestigious Skytrax Airline Awards, not only for myself, but for every individual at Qatar Airways who creates the passengers’ experience.”
