Cheap, full-service flights from Prague and Vienna to Vagar, Faroe Islands from only €224 with KLM and Atlantic Airways!
Say hello to the Little Mermaid, visit Tivoli amusement park, have a beer in Carlsberg brewery, and finally take your kids to the land of Lego! And don’t miss visiting a “city within a city” – Freetown Christiania. Founded in 1971 by a group of homeless people, now it’s a territory with its own laws and its own flag.
Faroe Islands are just a short flight from the mainland, yet they’re way off the standard traveler’s radar. Multicoloured cottages and grass-roofed wooden churches, treeless moorlands, these are just a few landmarks of this mystic archipelago. Streymoy is the biggest island of the group, and home to the capital Torshavn, as well as dramatic scenery galore and the unmissable bird cliffs of Vestmanna. While the Southern Islands aren’t quite so dramatic in terms of landscape, islands like Suduroy and Skuvoy are appealingly low on tourists and high on friendliness…
The biggest island of the group is home to the capital Torshavn, where the world's oldest parliament is still functioning. Visit the old part of the city, the National History Museum and the National Art Gallery "Listaskálin".
Take a boat trip to the famous bird cliffs of Vestmanna, situated on the west coast of Streymoy. Visit the SagaMuseum in Vestmanna. In the north you should head to Tjørnuvík and Saksun.
