From this summer Sir Brian Souter’s company will expand with the launch of Superbus – a new low cost coach service operator in Estonia. Fares will start at 1 EUR plus 1 EUR booking fee. The express bus connections will operate between the main cities in the country.
Sir Brian Souter is the founder of Megabus – coach operator that serves numerous destinations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, USA and Canada. He also owns ManaBus (New Zealand), OnniBus (Finland) and PolskiBus (Poland), among many other transport related investments.
A new low cost bus carrier in Estonia will operate a fleet of eight two-storey buses VanHool Astromega TX927.
SuperBus will provide express intercity bus services on 3 routes:
- Tallinn – Tartu – Tallinn (8 departures per day, travel time: 2 hours 40 minutes)
- Tallinn – Pärnu – Tallinn (5 departures per day, travel time: 2 hours 10 minutes)
- Tallinn – Narva – Tallinn (4 departures per day, travel time: 3 hours 20 minutes)
