La Digue
The smallest of the three main inhabited islands has a tiny population of just 2,000 people. It's possible to visit La Digue as a daytrip from either Mahé or Praslin. This relaxed island offers some of the most iconic beaches in the Seychelles, like the famous Anse Source d'Argent, framed by massive granite boulders. Anse Severe and Anse Patates on the northern coast make a great choice for swimming and snorkelling.
From the village of La Passe you can enjoy magnificent views back across the water to Praslin. Wild and wonderful Grande and Petite Anse require a cycle over the hill to the south coast. Delightful Anse Cocos has a natural lagoon formed by granite rocks providing calm waters to swim in. La Digue is also a great base for day trips to Grande Seur.
