One of the legends says that they have survived a shipwreck, other claims that sailors left them on the island for a future meal, but never returned.
To get there, you should hop on an organized tour or rent a boat. If you want to stay near Big Major Cay, the best option is Staniel Cay. Visitors are only able to take photographs and watch the water-loving piglets swim out to greet the incoming boats. Feeding the pigs is prohibited.
