Best beaches in the Bahamas
Discover the famous Pink Sands Beach on the east coast of the Harbour Island. The intense shade of sand comes from microscopic coral crumbs. Eleuthera Island, located 80 km (50 miles) east of Nassau, is also famous for wide rolling pink sand beaches. Lighthouse Beach, Surfer's Beach, Winding Bay Beach and French Leave Beach are some other beaches with a pink shade of sand.
Enjoy a relaxing day on the spectacular Gold Rock Beach, located in the Lucayan National Park. In the Half Moon Cay you'll find a beautiful crescent-shaped beach. Little Stirrup Cay (Co Co Cay) in the Berry Islands offers a collection of cays and small islands. You can also pay a visit to the beaches of Stocking Island, a small, long, narrow island off the port of Georgetown (Great Exuma Island). Blue Lagoon Island (Salt Cay), not far from Nassau, is home of the dolphins and sea lions of Dolphin Encounters.
