While many countries in the world are struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, China brings some positive news. Hopefully, the situation in other areas of the world will develop in a similar way and lifting of travel-related bans will happen as soon as possible.

Life after the coronavirus crisis. Wizz Air has a bold business growth strategy

While many other airlines cancel flights, postpone delivery of new aircrafts and clearly state that they will reduce the fleet after the crisis, Wizz Air plans to go in the opposite direction. The airline will not reduce its fleet and even intends to increase it significantly.

Airlines are not refunding cancelled flights. They are pushing other alternatives instead

Usually if an airline cancelled your flight, one of the options presented would have been a refund. However, in the current situation, carriers are making cash refunds as difficult as possible. In general, they go two ways: offering passengers a variety of bonuses and discounts on future flights, or making the process as complicated and or slow as possible

The coronavirus pandemic is having a huge impact in airlines, forcing them to be "creative", presenting flights and routes that we would never see. Air Greenland's 8-hour flight between Nuuk and Copenhagen using a Dash 8 turboprop is amongst the most unique of the bunch.

Domestic flights to and from Wuhan to be resumed next month

As the coronavirus pandemic seems to be under control in the country, Chinese authorities started to remove some travel restrictions. According to CNN, flights to and from the original epicentre of the Covid-19 outbreak are going to be resumed on April 8.

Ryanair expects to remain grounded until June

Ryanair has grounded nearly all of its planes from today - and said it isn't expecting to operate flights in either April or May.

The coronavirus pandemic left airlines struggling to remain afloat with bookings and revenue tanking. Trying to counter this, most of them started to cancel flight change fees or offered refunds using vouchers. Vietjet however found a more interesting solution.
